Wernlas at a glance

Wernlas Lodge is a Willerby Boston lodge set within the park on the Gower Peninsula. Comfortable and well-equipped, it sleeps up to four and gives you the flexibility of self-catering with easy access to the coast and countryside. A straightforward base for a Gower break — without the fuss of a hotel and with more space than a room.

Inside the lodge

Living & layout

Inside, Wernlas has a warm, practical feel. The open-plan living and dining area is a comfortable place to relax in the evening or sit out a wet afternoon, with a well-equipped kitchen alongside. Everything you need is here — it's set up for proper self-catering, not a stripped-back studio.

The lodge layout makes good use of the space, with a living area that doesn't feel cramped and enough room at the table for a proper meal together.

The area

Location & nearby

Wernlas Lodge sits within the park on the Gower Peninsula — the first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty designated in the UK. The coast is close, and the peninsula gives you a lot to work with: long sandy beaches, coastal walking paths, and quieter spots that take a little more effort to reach but reward it.

The most popular beaches — Oxwich Bay, Caswell, and Port Eynon — are all within a short drive. For walks, Rhossili and the headland beyond Three Cliffs Bay are worth the trip. Swansea and Mumbles are nearby for a change of pace, with cafés, shops, and the seafront promenade.
