Dogs welcome on Gower

The Gower is brilliant for dogs — miles of beach, open headlands and quiet countryside. We welcome well-behaved dogs across the parks.

Bringing your dog

Dogs are welcome across our parks. Camping pitches are dog friendly as standard — if you're looking at self-catering accommodation or cottages, check availability when booking as dog-friendly options vary. The Gower Coast Cottages site lists which properties accept dogs.

On site we ask that dogs are kept on leads and that you clean up after them. It's a small thing, but it makes the parks nicer for everyone.

Where to stay

Dog-friendly accommodation

Camping pitches

All our camping and campervan pitches welcome dogs. The parks are spacious and there's good access to walking routes nearby.

Beaches

Beach access with dogs

Some Gower beaches have seasonal dog restrictions during summer months — typically May to September. It's worth checking before you go, particularly at busier beaches. Out of season, most beaches are open to dogs year round.

For year-round access without restrictions, the beaches around the north of the peninsula tend to be the best option.

Walks

Great walks for dogs on Gower

The Gower has some outstanding walking for dogs. These three are among the best.
